Delicious! Gorgeous nose has citrusy notes, green apple, a hint of orchard fruit, loads of cracked stone minerality, and even a bit of a brothy thing I usually associate with Chablis! Complex! In the mouth it’s lovely and densely flavored. Acid/fruit/mineral balance is impeccable. Bone dry. Finish is long and crisp, like sucking on stones. So mineral. Really fine. Drinking great now, this also can age for several more years. — 5 months ago

A typical Alsatian nose, with a summer meadow in full bloom, orchard apples, a touch of peach. There’s also a rocky, mineral saline whiff.
On the palate this remains focused, linear and pure. There’s round fruity richness yet there’s also great tension & energy, too. Beautifully balanced and lip smacking delicious! — 5 years ago

My first South African Pinot Noir! (From the Elgin Region). Very interesting. Big oak aromas and flavors much of which does burn off. (Barrels heavily charred?) Also violets, charcoal and dark cherry on the nose. Pallet notes more dark cherry and grilled rosemary. Light bodied and mouth watering acidity, but beautifully balanced.
