Dry, yet smooth with hints of cherries and berries. Really tasty and right up my alley. — 2 days ago
I am biased here but I love what Thibault does with grapes. I have had several different wines of his and they have all been very enjoyable. This one is no different. Ripe red fruit just bursting with flavor. A bit of cola. A pinch of earth. Right up my alley. — 18 days ago
I’ve been a fan of Reynvaan wines for a few years now, but this is the first time I’ve had their Stonessence. Their “In The Rocks” bottle has been a favorite and while there are a lot of similarities between the two, I found this to have a more powerful profile, albeit a touch less funk driven aromatically. If you haven’t tried these wines but love Cayuse, these are up your alley.
Pop and pour. Compared to their other offerings, this is 100% Syrah, so nothing is co-fermented. That’s fairly apparent on the nose as it doesn’t have that intensely lifted profile...it still sports classic “Rocks” funk with peppered salami, potpourri, black olive and dark coffee grounds. This comes across darker and more black fruit driven than their other wines, lending more notes of scorched black cherries, teriyaki jerky, iron, and tar on the palate. Great use of stems/whole clusters. I followed this over two days and it was just as gorgeous on day two. Very nicely integrated. Likely in a peak drinking window where it should reside for a few more years easily. — an hour ago
Really enjoy the smooth taste of this blend. — 14 days ago
Smooth as silk and beautifully buttery. I added a dash of this to a scampi and I propelled it to heightened levels. Just a dash and then drink the rest of the bottle. — 22 days ago
Smooth as silk. Good balance. Nice acidity. Currants, cherries. Drinks great from start to finish. — 2 days ago
Очень приятное, богатое вкусами, плотное, не спиртовое. — 2 months ago
Velvet, crushed rose petals, blackberries, pine with frost upon it. What a rockstar bouquet.
Wow. Right up my alley. Well balanced. Fruit forward, sure, but the emphasis here is that undercurrent spice kick of star anise, black peppercorn, and nutmeg. All the right feels here. A brush of acidity, and just the right dryness to make you lick your lips. — 19 days ago
