Wow, fantastic Chateauneuf! Smooth and pairs well with an airport cheeseburger and our cheese plate. Will try to find it back home. — 8 days ago

Opened several hours prior to service, the 2007 pours a deep, ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated bramble berries, strawberry, dried red flowers, garrigue, anise, leather, dried herbs and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is anything but tired and far from overblown. I’ve been surprised by a number of 2007 CdP’s lately. They have showed better balance than I expected and this one is wonderfully balanced. Drink now through 2037. — a day ago
Fascinating, after my recent run of so-so to DNPIM (do not put in mouth) CdPs from 25 or so years of age, here’s a “basic cuvée” of CdP (think $18-20 bottle on release) that is punching far above its weight, red fruits, very fine CdP that is drinking great now, long, lingering finish, and shows promise for another 3-5 years of aging!! — 18 days ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Nose of red fruits with spices and earth notes.

This 3 year old red blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is still young, but already complex and entertaining. Very approachable, powerful and fruit forward.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Elegant and nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
A blend of 70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and other local varieties. Aged for 2 years in large French oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Drinking in 2025. At peak or just past with minimal tannins but nice acidity still present for a nice juicy mouth feel. Subtle cherry, herbs and cedar with earthy overtones. Pleasant medium length finish that gradually fades. — 11 days ago

This young Grenache blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is very approachable, and already drinking beautifully, but needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Well balanced and tangy, with good structure. Spicy and entertaining. Alcohol is nicely integrated already. Complex and engaging.
I had this wine as a 20 year old, and it was so much better with age.
This 2022 vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape is already showing its possibilities. Will continue to age nicely in the next 25 years.
