Awesome. Tastes like a mix of Napa and Bordeaux. Dark fruit, a bit of olives, earth, smooth, with that unmistakable “something” that separates great wines from very good wines (someday I will learn what flavor that is, I love it). On sale for $17, so I may buy a case. EDIT: I DID BUY A CASE. KILLER DEAL. EDIT 2: some coconut on the finish (but not in a weird way, think of it as barrel vanilla with more going on — 3 years ago
Has a soft, citrus and butter taste pleasing to the back of the tongue. Great for a leisurely drink. — 5 years ago
not a good vintage 2013, but this is well made. Great nose of stony minerality, fresh black fruits, some woodsmoke, anise, rose petal and licorice. Very pure and fresh juice. Almost no tannins, great acidity. Blackberry, blackcurrant and some cherries/cassis. This wine is beautiful in precision and drinking rapidly. — 3 years ago
A nice deck wine. Crisp and fruity dry blend of 40% Pinot noir, 35% St Laurent, And 25% Blaufränkisch. Pleasant, perfect with ciabatta and artisanal ash covered washed Dalençay goat cheese for an afternoon snack. A good wine to have around. — 4 years ago
This is Mark’s best effort - I remember being at St Innocent 20 years ago and the White Rose was stunning. This 06 is still youthful with a beautiful mouth feel and a subtle bramble & currant finish that lasts. Find it & drink it now. — 5 years ago
Graphite and raisin, fig and marinated porcini, smoky dried cherries, black pepper on grilled beef fat, toasted sesame, dried black and red currants, all within an aura of damson and violet and honeyed rose petal. Palate leaps with damson and dried and fresh bing cherry, dried spiced plum, cedar and dried lavender, black olive, moist tobacco, and perfectly toned tannins which come off as a separate, undefinable taste of fruit skin extraction with stunning depth; tea leaves meet dried blackberry in a redwood stand. Soft date and creamy fig follow to a tart raspberry end.

Let’s explore this 2009 Clos de La Maréchale!
It’s medium ruby with garnet around the rim. The nose is positively perfumed with notes of violet, rose, boysenberry, mulberry, ripe black cherry, kirsch, clove, cedar, vanilla, cardamom, anise, chervil, fennel fronds, leather, crushed stone, forest floor, tobacco, peat moss, and mushroom.
On the palate this wine is dry with medium (+) acidity, a medium body, high alcohol (14% ABV), flavors are concentrated and consistent with the nose. It has a lingering finish.
It’s multifaceted, vibrant, layered and delicious – cheers to exploring the world of wine one sip at a time! — 3 days ago
