See previous Note. Old plummie, red cherry notes. Barb said dusty and pine needles. A cooler vintage. I said red cherries and freshly tilled loam. As Galloni said “In 2010 Ama did not bottle their single vineyard selections. All the best fruit went here.” Tasting more the quality of a Brunello than a Chianti Classico. Located in the heart of Umbria, pale lemon color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and honey floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and peach with citrus and nutty notes. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with salty mineral character. Nice! — 2 days ago
Medium ruby color with slightly garnet rim. Dark berry and plum on the nose. Medium acid, tannins are softened but still present. It benefited from decanting. Tastes like dark fruit, dark chocolate, graphite, reminded me of some Bordeaux bottles. — 18 days ago
3.3. Nice inexpensive Chianti, well balanced with excellent fruit, somewhat lighter-bodied than other chiantis. On sale for $17.49, regularly $20.99. — 8 days ago
