Cantina Del Frignano ‘La Pinona’ Passito Di Malbo Gentile 2017: Made from 100% dried Malbo Gentile, a native red grape varietal grown in the Modena hills, this was a surprising dessert wine. Deep purple in color. Rich yet smooth ripe tannins. A fruity bouquet with palate flavors of blueberry & licorice. Moreover, this wine displayed great balance between acidity & warmth. Overall, I am very impressed with the dry sweetness & smoothness of this wine. What a great first experience of this local varietal; time to find more! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
