Wow! Light brown/brick red (classic Nebbiolo) color. Amazing early notes of cherry, smoke, savory baking spices blowing from the glass. Light, almost thin mouth feel, but long, lingering finish with soft, chewy tannins. Definitely shines with acidity of tomato sauce and fennel-flecked sausage. The co-op that produces this high altitude gem makes me smile in recognition of my benchmarked Nebbiolo experience….nearly impossible to find at retail… I greedily mixed a case of their three levels. Far better than it needs to be; these have become my “house” pasts/pizza quaff while they last. — 2 years ago

Winery founded in 73, still unsure if this was made at Produttori, who released their own 67 Cru Martinenga or if made at Marchesi di Gresy without commercial release 🤷🏻♂️ This seemed much different than the 67 Produttori I had tried, it had some strong cedar notes and was ashy. Taste was delicious, made up for a difficult nose. Was hoping for more, but still a great 👍🏽 — 5 years ago
Phenomenal bottle. — 6 months ago
This can easily go up in score, pretty young but did great over 5 days tapped twice with a coravjn and then cork pull the last day.
Outside of the OG Ferrando, and there is not much else bottled here outside of them and Produttori, outstanding first try of this one. — a year ago

From a lesser known “produttori” in Piemonte. Cantina Produttori Nebbiolo di Carema (what a mouthful) is a tiny cooperative in, you guessed it, Carema.
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Fairly consistent throughout but I think I preferred the energy on Day 1. The 2016 Riserva pours a pale garnet with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity and no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of pomegranate, slightly bruised strawberry, toe jam (yeah, well…I’m not wrong), alpine herbs, roses some balsamico and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and saline with a silky texture. Until now, my only experience with the Carema DOC has been with Ferrando’s Etichetta Bianca and Etichetta Nera. While this bottle didn’t have the same drama as those wines from Ferrando, this was a very good example of Carema. Drink now and through 2031. — 3 days ago
