Initially very shy in the nose, when straight from the fridge. With air and warming up it offers nettle, poblano and chive aromas. Crisp, high acid style was a good foil to pasta with favas, bacon, evoo, mint and parmesean. — 4 years ago

I’m jealous! I had Camel Valley a couple years ago and have had yet to get my hands on more

I sourced it from Garagiste several years ago. I was unsure it would have aged this well. I agree, difficult to find nearly anywhere in the US.

Camel Hill Vineyards Syrah 2016

Left Bend - Santa Cruz Mountains - Camel Hill Vineyard - Syrah - 2016

Great fruit and terrior, oak notes could sit 2 years. Oak was good, a lil coconutty (for my taste) but very tasty now and should mellow nicely with a just lil more time.

Get some for now and some for later.

Kanzemer Sonnenberg Auslese Riesling 2003

Just underipe mango spice with the slightest residual mineral mouth buzz, citruses like lemon and grapefruit with wildflower or clover honey, pear sweetness, a lingering camel light tobacco leaf, gasoline finish like I drank it from a plastic tank. 7.5%: very good on a humid day, refreshing, thirst quenching. The acid develops in the air, getting more citrusy and slightly bitter, becomes more piquant and the honey becomes more beeswaxy. It expands in the mouth, poolside finish is long.

Superb, English expression of champers.
Muscular nose of straw, brine, bread and summer fruits. Big, aggressive bubbles on the palate. Finishes taught with bright acidity. English wine at its best 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Nice @Ron R . I’ve had a few English Sparklers that have really surprised me in a good way. Have you had Nyetimber or Gusbourne?

@Shay A, just gonna buy some Nyetimber tomorrow. It just blew away some top French champagne in a blind tasting. Look out folks! Hey @Byron C Mayes, the British are coming 👊🏾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I should correct myself with flags since the Union Jack 🇬🇧 is the British flag, while St. George’s cross is the English flag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
