Nordés

Atlantic Galician Gin

Nordes gin - Galicia Spain. Think about Rias Baixas (green and rainy, much like Ireland) and San Sebastian coastal village, famous for one of the world's most elegant white wines, Albarino.
Then make a base spirit from Albarino grapes, add 11 botanicals and you get a super cool gin. Flavors of fruit, white flowers, (you can almost taste the Mediterranean salty sea air) If your looking for traditional Juniper berry gin..move on.

Domaine Romaneaux-Destezet (Hervé Souhaut)

La Souteronne Vin de Pays de l'Ardèche Gamay

A little bit of baked pastry or pie crust with smoky undertones beautifully paired with raspberry. It almost drinks like gin...maybe that’s juniper or something similar.

It sits on your tongue like a soft cushion and wraps you tight. It’s a fire pit on a summer night or a walk by a lake when the sun comes out after it rains. There is funk and must, but it provided structure and escape for the juice and was good for me.

Amabuki Shuzo

Amabuki Gin no Kurenai Junmai

One of the best sakes I’ve had. Floral bouquet, smooth, silky, semi-sweet, amazing to pair with flavorful fresh nigiri. Tried it at Mako in Chicago and was a highlight of the wine and sake pairing Omakase experience. — 3 years ago

I agree. It’s very elegant but not very distinctive.
