A second tasting of this Rioja after a 2 year gap. While I thoroughly enjoyed it last time I've nudged my score up just a touch as it was even better than I remembered. Maybe the extra time in bottle has helped or it was the hour in the decanter, or perhaps a bit of both. The tannins felt much smoother this time so this is one which benefits from some patience while it opens up over a couple of hours. — 3 years ago

This wine is fascinating! This is dry white Palomino that would normally be used to make Sherry. Lacking any primary fruit, I would guess sake if smelling blind. Some slight elegant aroma of wood/spice. This might be the best ringer at a master Somm tasting ever. Absolutely unique. — 8 years ago
