Incredible!! Cherry flavored, bright, low acid, incredibly drinkable. I’m in love — 6 years ago
One of the oldest wineries in the world. The kerner is like the most dumbed down nz sauv blanc that was brutally bitch slapped by one of the best dry Austrian Rieslings. — 8 years ago
Really liked the jammy quality. Perfect starter glass. — 9 years ago

Watching football and drinking champs with KFC. Bereche is the bomb. I love opening it and waiting and hour or two to drink it, to let it balance out. I like to wait on all champagnes especially Bereche. After getting some air, you get such a nice mix of tart and sweet, like hard candy (Green apple jolly ranchers?), but you get the sophistication of a traditional 3 grape blend with a decent amount of reserve, plus some funkiness from all the naturalness of the process that they use to make it. It is a really smart wine that offers something for everyone without sacrificing anything or making compromises. I like this a lot more than a 9, but I have to save some digits for the Emidio Pepe '85s or the Pol Roger Winston Churchill '88s of the world. If you look at my scores, you see a lot of 9s but that's because I rarely write about wine I don't like. I don't want to be one of those yelpers who only bitch, especially when I know how much sacrifice goes into making great wine. I want to celebrate the Bereches of the world who go that extra mile to touch greatness, even though wine economics resist it. — 9 years ago
Bière IPA assez forte à 8.3. Des notes épicées et un goût assez intéressant — 10 years ago
Does perfume mean "shit my grandma sprayed on before church"?? Gross. But it has that - however I'd call it "butterscotch coffee table treat + lilac "that bitch is stinky but better than grandma's cigarettes" in terms of nose. Also the nose fucks my macerated pear bussy. Giving me cobbler vibes - Hallélooh! In terms of tongue, she sits like a mineral princess on a southern porch swing - green apple and green grape with a micro green or basil down-played bitch slap to make me comfortable being THAT BITCH! Welcome - I'm that bitch and I love this! — 4 years ago
2002 is such a beautiful vintage IMHO. In many ways, I think even better than 07. We’ll see in five years from now as I lack a time machine.
I’ve said this a couple of times over my nearly 4,200 Delectable notes. There is no amount of decanting a young wine that can reproduce the beauty, elegance, florals, integration, balance and finish as long bottle age. If you are buying expensive Cabernets and drinking them young, you are simply short changing yourself out of your deep investment.
This largely under known Napa producer is a shining example of that tonight. Proof in the pudding so to speak.
The nose reveals, sweet, ripe, lush, ruby, slightly baked/liqueured fruits of; blackberries, black raspberries, black cherries, black plum, understated blueberries and baked strawberries haunt the backend. Dark Asian & Indian spices, black licorice to anise, sweet tarriness, black tea, dark expresso, crushed dry rocks, limestone minerals, herbal notes, mint, incense, graphite, dark chocolate, caramel & mocha, dry top soil, moist clay, dark rich, turn earth with fresh & withering; dark, red, purple, blue flowers & just a touch of violets.
The body is; round, rich & luxurious. The tannins still have baby teeth and show chewy tarriness. The tension, structure, length and balance have hit their peak. It’s not going to improve, it will simply show you descending changes which, can be quite enjoyable but, not necessarily for the ones that appreciate wines young. Interesting, none the less, for the ones that enjoy all sides/aspects of wine evolution. Sweet, ripe, lush, ruby, slightly baked/liqueured fruits of; blackberries, black raspberries, black cherries, black plum, mulberries, boysenberries, more blue fruits than the nose, cherries and baked strawberries haunt the backend. Dark Asian & Indian spices with just the right amount of heat, black licorice to anise, sweet tarriness, black tea, dark expresso, crushed dry rocks, limestone minerals, herbal notes, mint, graphite, dark chocolate, caramel & mocha, dry top soil, moist clay, dark rich, turn earth, fresh tobacco, suede style leather, saddle-wood with fresh & withering; dark, red, purple, blue flowers & just a touch of violets. The ABV on this wine is really nice given today’s hotter wines. Climate change, it’s a bitch. The round acidy is as good as it gets. The long, excellent, elegant, rich, ripe, ruby, gorgeous, sexy, floral, perfectly balanced finish falls into persistent heaven.
This is a gorgeous example of what Napa Valley is capable of in grand vintages, if you have good storage & can show patience.

Amazing how the very exspensive wines get the high ratings, scarecrow automatically 10 because of the name as with many others. Tasted blind this would punish many of the big names that 3 times the costThis is a great tasting wine! You can taste all the notes and it's sweet, which I love! — 9 years ago
My wife says "it's Mother's Day weekend, bitch!", which I take to mean I should open something good. This doesn't taste anywhere near 12 years old. Layer after layer on the nose and palate. One of my very favorite Cabs. Wish I could drink it every day. — 9 years ago

Bit of a basic bitch, but still a killer — 4 years ago
Lovely red blend! Enjoyed it with Parmesan truffle fries and bruschetta on a sunny Saturday afternoon! — 6 years ago
Yum. Light, cherry, big flavor — 6 years ago
The most twisted joke that has ever been played on Mourvèdre...and definitely making the call here at absolute hands down number one expression of the Mourvèdre grape I have ever had. Eric pfifferling makes every red grape his bitch in the best possible way, this is no exception. — 8 years ago
Floral tension, ripe strawberries, and volcanic minerality combine to make a feminine personality. Given its birth in Brouilly, it displays Mediterranean qualities of jammy fruit and iron. Acid stays lively while structured tannins give depth and adaptability with food. As always, Cru Beaujolais gives high QPR no matter the vintage. Drinking this bitch young as one should. — 8 years ago
Is there such a thing as: fresh cut grass scented black cherry caramel popcorn? Mouth-watering fresh acid. The color is incredible. Far western edge of Alexander Valley, 13 acres of Carignane planted between 1927 and 1950. pure black cherry, fresh cut grass that reminds me only of Zinfandel. Caramel that I typically associate with Petit and Alicante but not after tasting this in barrel. Beautifully simple but not a Basic Bitch. I would Blind it as a field blend or Zin. Good stuff, put it in a decanter, curious to see what 72 hours does — 9 years ago
Picked this up for $12.99 at my local wine store, and I'm very satisfied. This just proves you don't have to always go with big names in the right bank. Honestly, this Lalande de Pomerol is straight up sexy and alluring. Color is a deep red ruby color with medium plus intensity. While pouring into the decanter, the color hypnotizes you into a wine dream. On the nose, it's medium-minus intensity makes you get up close and personal. Upon first sniff, I picked up black currants, tart cherries, cranberries, and violets. After taking my first sip, all those fruit aromas went away and I was left with more earthy and oaky notes. The French oak puts notes of cedar, clay, and smoke into the palate. I was surprised with the medium-plus acidity and woody tannins because of it being a right bank Bordeaux blend. Complexity came out after about 2 hours of just hanging out in the decanter. I highly recommend doing this. It was a stiff bitch before that. The tannins mellowed out and the heavy cedar notes became more subtle and balanced. Overall, what a good wine! The price doesn't hurt either! Cheers! — 10 years ago
