Bin Chardonnay 2020

Wine is delightful especially for a chard. Loads of green grape and apple. Light floral note. Really well balanced, light body for a chard but still a bit of heft. Nice acidity. Would recommend. Balances the food (falafel, muhamara, and hummus) nicely. — 2 months ago

Binyamina & Kadita Cabernet Franc Blend 2016

Solar oaky Cabernet-franc from 🇮🇱 which is expressed here on notes of very ripe fruit. The mouth is fresh with a well-maited alcohol. Balanced, with ageing marked by vanilla. The finish is tannic and persistent. It invokes Bordeaux and southwest. Gastronomic.

The Hoshen Sapphire Sapphire Cabernet Franc Shiraz 2019

Binyamina Winery The Hoshen Sapphire 2019, Israel

#KosherWineSunday

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Light nose with red and blue fruits, light oak, green pepper and dark chocolates.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black plums, cherries, currants, light wood, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, peppercorn, sweet chocolates, earth and light bell pepper.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This unique Cabernet Franc blend from Israel is fruity, with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 60 minutes in the decanter.

Fruity, with nice bell pepper and earth notes throughout the mid palate and the finish. Elegant and spicy. Soft and smooth.

Drinking very nicely now, and would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.

Good by itself and good with food. Will pair nicely with lamb dishes.

A blend of 75% Cabernet Franc and 25% Shiraz. Kosher and not Mevushal.

14% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$45.

Ha'Shomer Marselan Reserve Marselan 2017

#kosherwineSunday

This is an interesting red wine from Israel. This Marselan grape is a crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, and it really tastes like it.

Showing black fruits with oak, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, chocolates, coffee and peppercorn.

Dry on the palate with a short finish and round tannins.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and remove some of the acidity.

Peaking now and will be good in the next few years.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables.

100% Marselan grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 16 months. Kosher. Mevushal.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

$25.
