A relaxed meal before Thanksgiving kicks off in earnest. Marcella hazan’s simple tomato sauce with butter and onions over some good tagliatelle, some broccoli raab, and sausage. Perfect pairing. Gave it a 1.5 hour decant which was the right call. Definitely a bit of “rustic” tannins but the fruit is quite open and giving and the finish is pure with good acid. Costco buy for 12 and super yummy.

Vino che rispecchia l’identità della Bussia. Di color rubino al naso emergono subito frutti rossi e ciliegie mature per poi aprire a leggere note speziate. Fresco nonostante la grande portata alcolica grazie ad un tannino raffinato che ti invoglia a berne un bicchiere dopo l’altro. Finale lungo e forse in chiusura un po’ troppo sapido. — 4 years ago

One of the better value reds I’ve had in a long time (<$20 on sale at Flatiron). Needs 45 mins of air to come into balance and of course better with a slight chill. Nice levels of fruit, earth, and acid. Enjoyed. — 13 days ago

No real notes, Cola, cherry, cherry, a fermented cabbage note too, but in the background. The palate is great and everything you need in a Beaujolais palate : a big bright fruit, some acid drive and tension, some layers of complexity, a real, long fruity, playful finish. Real treat, 100% recommend it. — 2 years ago
