At Moore Brothers tasting of Piemonte with Fung and Mary 1/25/25. Classically styled with balance and grippy texture and tannins. Will age nicely. — 22 days ago
Such a great Brunello producer. Every wine in the line up is excellent. Even the entry level Troncone, which is one of the great steals in Brunello. This bottle is in its prime. Smooth, complex, red fruit, black fruit, med tannins, long finish. So good! — a month ago
Wine prices in Tokyo tend to be expensive but this was about $200 AUD. Probably sounds dear but when you’re here that’s not too bad. Medium crimson in colour. Just medium bodied - red fruited with cherry, strawberry and earthy silty notes. On the palate went well with a Grade 4 Waygu steak which was very expensive but it was a good match. All very satisfying. From a good vintage in Piedmont. The photo is from the Delectable library but the vintage we had was 2016. — 15 days ago

Great with my Bolognese! — a month ago
This is a really nice pop and pour Chianti Classico. Elegant nose, packed with layers of flavors of earth, fruit and spice and nice balance of juicy acidity and a moderate grip of tannins that linger on the front of the tongue for quite a while. — 7 days ago
Slightly cloudy copper colour . Quite toasty coffee notes at the beginning . Slightly dried fruits, orange rind . On the palate quite round and generous , dried fruits , high acidity and extract , orange rind . Quite long and herbal , with some dried red fruits , roast almonds . This is intense and very interesting , will still age pretty well . Drink now and over the next 5 years. — 23 days ago

Decanted about 30 minutes prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2007 pours a deep ruby color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some signs of light sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with powerful notes of ripe red and dark fruits: brambles, kirsch, plum, tobacco, purple flowers, green bell pepper, leather, cocoa, and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is positively delightful right now and there are little signs of slowing down. Drink now through 2037. — 13 days ago
