Tenuta Emily Augusto Recantina

Really enjoyed this unique varietal and the way is piloted the mineralogy in harmony with detailed bright red fruits and a signature Italian spice rack. — 3 years ago

Riserva Salice Salentino Negroamaro 2015

Founded in 1979 by Giovanni Cantele and his two sons Augusto and Domenico. Ruby with big fruit aromas with sweet jammy notes. On the palate concentrated berry fruit flavors, a bit jammy and sweet, lively acidity, surprisingly great balance. Firm tannins yielding a medium finish ending with noticeable alcohol. Good value for a wine with a bit of complexity. — 2 years ago

That's a good Question Sean. Delectable didn't recognise it at first

Their recognition isn't perfect, but @delectable is really good about fixing it when it goes awry. I sometimes get a chuckle at the errors.

Very true Sean possibly the best around.

Poderi Morini

Augusto Bursôn Longanesi 2012

It's wines and grapes like these that make me love Italy. A nearly forgotten grape "Longanesi" that out of chance began propagating on the property of a winery!

Earthy, rich and funky. Notes of black cherry cola with a hint of vanilla.

Black tea on the nose

Herbacious and medicinal on the nose. Fairly rustic (smokey), dense and concentrated fruit.

As well as the slight hint of tarragon within the rich cacao notes with traces of balsamic

Augusto Sonoma Valley Barbera

Consumed May 2015. Received 10/2008 from Viansa. Tinting flavors of ripe plums and BlackBerries with a long lush finish. This wine is a blend of 88% Barbera, 6% Primitivo, 4% Teroldego and 2% Tempranillo. This big, juicy wine goes wonderful with barbecue fair, grilled pork tenderloin or lasagna, but is also wonderful by it's self. It has soft tannins and a long, smooth finish. A full-bodied wine that is best when decanted. On the nose, dried flowers and wild berries. On the palate, ripe plums, spices and BlackBerries. $42 retail. — 6 years ago
