In BA for a bit over 4$, stronger alcohol from San Juan but still delicious — 6 years ago
Fab wine selected by the imaginative Augusto. Big, earthy, great structure, balanced. — 8 years ago
Founded in 1979 by Giovanni Cantele and his two sons Augusto and Domenico. Ruby with big fruit aromas with sweet jammy notes. On the palate concentrated berry fruit flavors, a bit jammy and sweet, lively acidity, surprisingly great balance. Firm tannins yielding a medium finish ending with noticeable alcohol. Good value for a wine with a bit of complexity. — 2 years ago

It's wines and grapes like these that make me love Italy. A nearly forgotten grape "Longanesi" that out of chance began propagating on the property of a winery!
Earthy, rich and funky. Notes of black cherry cola with a hint of vanilla.
Black tea on the nose
Herbacious and medicinal on the nose. Fairly rustic (smokey), dense and concentrated fruit. — 2 years ago
Consumed May 2015. Received 10/2008 from Viansa. Tinting flavors of ripe plums and BlackBerries with a long lush finish. This wine is a blend of 88% Barbera, 6% Primitivo, 4% Teroldego and 2% Tempranillo. This big, juicy wine goes wonderful with barbecue fair, grilled pork tenderloin or lasagna, but is also wonderful by it's self. It has soft tannins and a long, smooth finish. A full-bodied wine that is best when decanted. On the nose, dried flowers and wild berries. On the palate, ripe plums, spices and BlackBerries. $42 retail. — 6 years ago
