One of my favorite Producers of Barolo. The Monvigliero with its elegance, floral, silky texture along with its whole cluster is youthful, structured showing lots of cherry, strawberry fruits, savory spice, herbs, rose petal & tobacco. Consistent with my many prior notes. — 13 days ago
Rich and plummy — 10 days ago
Two hour decant and highly expressive tannins yet. Super powerful, dense and concentrated but in perfect balance. Just great, will develop further on, hold — 2 years ago
Något utvecklas med nyanserad fatbetonad karaktär. Mörka bär, torkade blommor, läder, tjära med en fin mineralisk kärna och nedslipade finkorniga tanniner i avslutet. — a day ago
Patience and Protein.
Upon opening, this is a tannic beast. Decanted 1/2 hr or so. But... the sausage w Swiss chard and Marcella’s tomatoe sauce over polenta brought out its beauty.
N: Tar, underbrush, cola, roses, iron, dank minerality.
P: Really needs protein. Dark fruits, long,
Not rich but sappy, snappy finish. Pine forest, black cherry.

This wine is medium dark with aromas of black cherry, cassis and blackberry wafting up from the glass. There is also a bit of leather, tobacco and pencil lead. The palate offers cherry, licorice and baking spices, along with a nice acidity and medium-firm tannins. The sip is really enjoyable, but it pairs well with a steak or anything Bolognese. — 13 days ago
Light, crisp and refreshing on the palate. Nutty and somewhat herbal. — 5 days ago
Nice, great value — 7 days ago
Far along in the secondary characteristics portion of its life. Tobacco and cherry blossom, wood shavings and thyme. Very enjoyable but time to drink! — a month ago
