Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend 2019

More distinctive than other amarones we've had. Substantial and not overly sweet. — 8 days ago

Amicone Veneto Red Blend 2018

What’s sad is that the flavour is not far off from a low end amarone these days… and at this price gimme this one every time. You can get two for the price of an entry level tedeschi. — 2 years ago

Napa Valley Valdiguié 2020

I am continually impressed with the wines from this small family run winery in Calistoga. Their Valdiguie is one of my favorites. — 3 years ago

Pinot Noir 2019

Delicious ripe cherry on the nose and palate, with a touch of cinnamon. Medium-bodied. We drank this slightly chilled due to scorching hot weather in San Diego and it was incredibly refreshing. — 2 years ago

Napa Valley Rosé Blend 2020

Watermelon on the nose. Needed a little bit of opening up. We poured it through an aerator and that did the trick. — 3 years ago

Maternigo Valpolicella Superiore Corvina Blend 2019

From the East of the Valpolicella Classico area, more limestone soils, less winds from the Garda.
Much tighter and a bit more structured, more black fruit vs the typical red cherry.
Pretty powerful for ‘just’ a Superiore, yet balanced and with good depth. Juicy, fresh, nothing to do with the soft jammy style.
A perfect food wine. Really nice.

Reserve Petite Sirah 2009

Olives and black fruit on the nose. Full bodied, with long finish. Perfect balance of fruit and acidity. I've previously tried Tedeschi's 2017, 2016, and now 2009 vintages of petite sirah. I wonder if 2009 was a very hot year, as the 2009 did seem higher in alcohol than I remembered either of the other vintages. — 3 years ago
