St Innocent Winery

Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

Deeper red and black fruited pinot. Very satisfying if a little high acid and unresolved bitterness on the finish, for now. I expect those elements to play out nicely with a few more years of bottle age. — 23 days ago

Château Fombrauge

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

Purchased 8 cases of this on release. Amazing QPR at $32 drinking well showing lots of berry , cassis fruits, leather, vanilla spice, mocha & tobacco. Still youthful with many years left to drink the remaining 54 btls. 😜 — 2 days ago

Château Montrose

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 1994

When food and wine come together in perfect harmony. 27 years old accompanied by truffle risotto and a cote du boeuf grilled perfectly. Pairing heaven! The wine has an incredible nose. — 5 days ago

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

Croix de Beaucaillou Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Blend of 85% Cab Sauv and 15% Merlot, with an impressive label designed by Mick Jagger’s daughter, Jade. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit, spice and herb notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and tart black cherry with currant and black pepper. Fine tannins, well balanced ending with smoky spice. Tasting well now, crack it out of cellar. — 7 days ago

Château Branaire (Duluc-Ducru)

St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

What a wine, one to have in your cellar for sure. Tonight I have opened the 2018 Château Branaire-Ducru Saint-Julien. A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc.

On the nose is dark cherry, blackberry, blueberry, black currant, chocolate, herbal notes, tobacco, violats, vanilla and dark earth.

On the palate is dark cherry, blackberry, blueberry, black currant, herbaceousness, cedar, graphite, sweet tobacco and earth.

This beautiful wine is full bodied with a smooth silky mouthfeel, medium+ acidity and medium+ grippy mouthcoating tannin that fills your mouth with a long black & blue fruit earthy finish. This wine has a long life and can sit in your cellar for 20+ years. Keep enjoying the weekend and stay healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

I do enjoy a good NZ Pinot Noir. While this wasn’t one of the best that I have had I wasn’t that bad. Cherry, baking spices. — a day ago

Château Léoville Barton

Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

2005 vintage. Just puttering along…tea, coffee grounds, ripe cherry…don’t see this getting any better but should be able to hold current course for quite some time. Light/light-medium body and speed bump free with a nice smoky, graphite nose. — 4 days ago

Château Bellisle Mondotte

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

A touch hot but otherwise an unpretentious and delicious right bank Bdx (80 merlot / 20 cab franc). Dark fruits—plums and blueberry—plus tobacco and plenty of earth and umami. Pair with anything roasted or grilled and a summer evening watching the fireflies — 7 days ago

Seven Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir 2000

A tad less intense than the 1998, also dark cherry, a tad softer, probably needs another 5 or so years in the cellar. — 25 days ago
