Absolutely a knockout. Last had almost 2 years ago and the time has been good. Decanted 1.5 hours, still fairly primary - would be a delicious one to age more, but so it goes. Aromatically incredible. So deep on the palate with that perfect refreshing note on the finish. Excellent pairing with fennel rubbed roast chicken, mushrooms cooked in the chicken fat, and oven fries with a tarragon aioli. — 4 months ago
1.5 hour decant(decent cloudy/fine sediment). A remarkable dark murky garnet color at 15 years. On the nose: perfumed notes of blackberry, herbaceous, burnt wood, sweet vanilla, leather. Taste: concentrated, layered, balanced mouthcoating wine with dark cherry, cedar, currants, mocha espresso, tobacco, spiced oak, and a earthy-leather long dry finish with just a slight tannic kick....has time to go. 1995 vintage. Decanted and traced over the course of 1.5 hours. Nice, top-shoulder fill. Great cork. Throwing very little sed. Cocoa powder and crushed violets in a fairly reticent nose. Light-medium body. Soft entry flavors with acidity and remaining tannins picking up intensity on the concentrated finish. Holding steady now and likely for 7-10 years on this plateau. Not improving but not falling off anytime soon. 12.3.23. — 5 months ago

1999 vintage. Not the greatest Napa vintage but not the worst. Decanted and tasted over the course of 1.5 hours. Super powdery sed. Big color. Earthy nose. Light-medium body. Lean flavors of coffee grounds and sherry. Not improving and likely a decade.5 past the best showings. Still instructive. Many vintages of the 1990's from this producer currently showing better. 2.4.24. — 3 months ago
