Over the weekend we opened the 2018 David Paige Wines Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. From Carlton, Oregon and a blend of grapes from Chehalem Mountains, Ribbon Ridge and Eola-Amity Hills.
On the nose there was strawberry, cranberry, cherry, clove, mushroom, hibiscus, vanilla and earth.
On the palate there is tart cherry, raspberry, cranberry, clove, mushroom, vanilla and earth.
This is a medium bodied wine with medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that moves easily into a long red fruit earthy finish. A very nice expression of Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. Have a wonderful week ahead and my it be positive and productive. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 16 days ago
Signs of cemi carbonic maceration tastes like a cru beajolais with an extra layer of complexity. Black pepper, red currant, cherries, roses. Cool stuff. — 11 days ago
I love these guys. Probably my favorite Oregon winery. I was a little worried about the 2020, and possibly these is a hint of smoke, but mostly delicious. Strawberry jam. No tannin. — 10 days ago
v15. Very nice! Smokey, black cherry licorice nose. Rich. , black cherry fruit. Dry, smooth, slightly astringent, earthy finish. Enjoyable!! — a month ago
2007 PN Dundee Hills Renegade ridge estate! In 2022!! Cork in excellent shape. Beautiful color spectrum of mature wine towards orange-like rim. Still wonderful bouquet of ripe strawberries rhubarbs gliding to an explosive parfum mouthfeel that lasts for eons and continues to expand with more air in while tasting. Had bought this one bottle at the winery; cellaring paying dividends! now 15 yo I can raise my glass to the winemaker! Gatineau QC — 14 days ago
