Agree w @Barry Herbst — wow. Still has lots of life to go at almost 30 years old. Stewed cranberries, prunes, and some tannins. — 5 months ago
From Joel’s library release: This is the 1988 vintage of the Old Vine Sonoma County. Still fresh and alive with all the complexity of thirty two year old wine. Sweet cedar and cherry on the nose; firm acidity and still somewhat tannic; good follow through on the palate with more cherry and cloves. Great wine!! — 5 months ago

OG California Field Blend Goodness… inky black with waves of Ripe blackberry bramble, cherry, and a touch of smoke. I fell in love with these hyperbolic field blends 30 years ago. Rice, ripe, smooth, with s hint of green stem and leafy forest flooor. I forgot just how these wines scratch my zin/oak/mid-weight itch. I am making my response to find more… — 20 days ago
