Valle d'Aosta Pinot Nero 2020

Delectable Wine

The 2020 Pinot Nero is such a pretty and finessed varietal expression that mixes alpine herbs with wild strawberries and crushed rocks. It’s elegant with silky textures that usher in masses of lavender-tinged black cherries and spices, as juicy acidity maintains fantastic balance. The 2020 leaves a coating of fruit concentration along with sweet tannins that add a gentle grip, promising a steady evolution. That said, there is no harm in drinking this today. '61 Brut Franciacorta Chardonnay Blend

Stonefruit aroma reminding me of nectarine and bing cherry with some delicate florals in the background. Tart and juicy body with hints of mandarin orange. Grapefruit drying finish. Pretty nice sparkling. — 20 days ago

Sudtirol Alto Adige Pinot Nero 2025

Excellent Pinot Nero from Südtirol. Cherry and red fruit. Nice acidity. Having it on a rooftop in Rome makes this a 95 point experience. 🇮🇹 — 8 days ago

Bressan. Nine generations of winemakers. Respect.

Very good pinot noir, wait, pinot nero. Herbs or green tea, spicy finish (pepper), some sweet fruity hints.

Les Noizons Pommard Pinot Noir 2020

What a deep stoney nose. Ripe black cherry fruit and a compote aspect. Dense, brooding and layered. Incredibly vivid fruit. A saline aspect as well. Gorgeous. Palate is stunning. Bright but dark fruits and amazing freshness. So sappy and pure and elegant. The elegance in the kid’s wines has really ramped up. Beautiful wispy yet velvety and sweet tannins but not too sweet. A raspberry coulis aspect and lip smacking freshness on the finish. I love the 2020’s here. Terrific inner mouth aromas and insane opulence. So juicy and energetic. The tannins are super high quality and the fruit is dark and opulent but just so perfect. Not overdone and owns its darkness and opulence. Silky and sweet and so long. A brilliant bottle. The fruit never quits on the finish even as it takes a detour for the minerals to express themselves. Almost a 9.6.

This has come alive after many hours. Nose is more integrated. Much more. Gorgeous raspberry and cherry. Wow. Palate is insanely juicy and fruit is more red. Sappy as all can be. Brilliant.
