Refreshing but weighty w loads of citrus, a bit of stone fruit and lots of sea breeze minerality. Very food friendly pairing w a wide range from spring veggies while robust enough to pair w roast pork. — 9 years ago

This is dry furmint from Tokaj with some battonage and some oak influence. There is lemon,white peach, vanilla, a bit of a flinty thing, and some leesy, yeasty notes. The palate is extremely dry, with a massive acid drive, some vanilla, gentle oaky notes all along, a very lively mouthfeel, there is a tiny oily, syrupy touch too on the sides and in the rear, and a good phenolic grip too. The finish is long, acid driven, showing vanilla and lemony notes, and a tiny bit of a stewed white peach thing, too. This is a great effort, a bit complex, and showing some additional layers to the recent dry furmints I had. — 7 months ago
