Magnificent bubbly, even on a Thursday night. This is the first time I've had Montaudon's '06, and it definitely shows the suppleness of the vintage - baked apple pie notes with caramel candy and a yeasty character to it. Figs, toffee, and a tinge of sour cherry on the palate. Despite the richness of fruit and texture, the wine retains a bright, mouth-puckering acidity. Exceptional balance and character, drinking well now and should be for years to come. — 6 years ago

Buttered toast and caramel-y pear, lightly oxydized, mouthful of white peaches, and not a banana skirt in sight! Roller-coaster ride of fruit and acidity. Leaves you wanting more! Food-friendly blend of 50/50 Chard & PN. Xlnt way to bring in the New Year! — 8 years ago

Delicious - on the sweet side, but a very rich and light bottle of bubbly. — 7 years ago

Well balanced. Hints of lemon citrus, tight bubbles, mineral, and some yeast notes. Pretty straightforward but well crafted. — 6 months ago
