Awesome Cab with smooth smooth finish, a hint of whiskey. Great on its own!
Would definitely purchase again ♥️ — 10 days ago
Aromatic notes of rose and violet. Great depth of delicious flavour on the medium bodied palate. Red fruits - savoury and rich. See previous note for the 2014 - always excellent but 8 years of cellaring has enhanced this wine. To have won the Jimmy Watson Trophy for the Best One Year Old Dry Red at Royal Melbourne and still starring now at 8 years of age shows this is a wine for all seasons and all years. Should be a regular purchase. A Winner. — 2 days ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. Best with air, this is still a baby. Blueberry pie, purple flowers, rotundone, some black pepper, cocoa, coffee and bacon fat. Super dry with stiff tannin still. Lovely acid. Finish is long…like whoa. Drink now with patience or before 2035, no cap. — 2 days ago
Translucent red berry; outer water tinge, Low alcohol at 13%, capsicum, paprika, cherry. Chocolate, capsicum, dark berry. Medium body and medium tannin. Lingering flavour. — 9 days ago
Surprisingly lean and tasty. — 25 days ago
See 2 previous notes on Delectable. Much the same now. Very plummy on nose and palate. Meaty notes on the nose. Plum and raspberry on the palate. An excellent blend for Penfolds from their vast resources. Amazing the influence of the Mourvèdre for only being 11%. Shiraz is 89%. Paid $30 per bottle for this in 2016. Cheap for a Penfolds red. — 7 days ago

Nose has crushed mint, ripe cherries, ripe blackberries, moist cedar, old leather, cherry-infused tobacco and candle wax trailing away.
Palate has ripe blackberries, dried Bing cherries, slight cocoa powder, dried plum, faint spice cake with fading tannins.
2H decant at the time of notes, I think this wants more air to continue developing. A purchase from many, many years past when we were hot on all things Australia. Hidden away for ~20Y in our off-site storage, these bottles recently arrived at the home cellar. I'm not disappointed by the showing tonight, more intrigued about what the next few bottles will bring...
Paired with Allen Bros cover rib (rib cap) and smashed fingerling potatoes; a meal generally dreamed about, realized tonight. — 24 days ago
