Another great bottle from Selection Massale. Smooth, refined, biodynamic, all natural Lagrein made in a medieval castle. What more could you ask for.
Not as rustic or as harsh as a lot of Lagrein. Only had one case and customers loved it. — 13 days ago
One of the best expressions of Lagrein from Alto Adige from the Klosteranger vineyard of Muri Gries. Delicate yet complex with softer tannins than the avergage Lagrein. — a month ago
Intense blackberries. Rich , hint of spice . Nice — 20 days ago
Va La Vineyards Mahogany 2011: Elegant tannins. Rich complex flavors. Velvety texture. Dark fruits. Mushrooms. Cedar. Leather. Earth. A beautiful, ultra small production red blend consisting of 8 varietals that will simply blow your mind away: Barbera, Malvasia Nero, Charbono, Petit Verdot, Carmine, Teroldego, Lagrein & Sagrantino. All in all, this is the real deal; a definite must-try if you want to experience the best red wine/winery in Pennsylvania. Watch out Napa, here is a legitimate competitor! Cheers🍷 — 19 days ago
Deep purple in color with a short purple/ reddish rim. Not showing its age.
On the nose black currants, black plums, cherries, light oak, licorice, barnyard, bitter herbs, spices, dark coffee, earth and black pepper.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, blueberries, raspberries, light wood, earth, river rocks, coffee, tobacco leaf, bitter vegetables, spices, light herbs and peppercorn.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice Italian red from Italy. Rich and extracted with a nice mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Tannins show up after an hour.
This 5 year old is still young, and needs another 5 years in the bottle to mature properly.
A good food wine that I paired with cheeses and olives. Paired nicely with French Camembert.
100% Lagrein grapes were aged for 12 months in neutral oak barrels. Certified Organic.
14% alcohol by volume.

Best price/quality Lagrein Riserva; only surpassed by their Klosteranger vineyard branded Lagrein riserva.
Dark purple/deep red. Blackberry, earthy, leather. Medium tannins. Excellent with red meat and veal. — a month ago
