Franklin Barbeque (Austin, TX) brisket and Abreu tonight!!
2 hour decant(decent fine/cloudy sediment). A superb dark magenta color. On the nose: Intoxicating notes of stewed dark fruit, espresso, balsamic, worn leather. Taste: creamy, rich, mouthcoating wine with dark cherry, dark chocolate, earth, pepper, and a cedar-leather long finish with a touch of heat. YUM! drinks well with the decant and more time to go. — a month ago

This is about as good as Carignane gets. I would happily put this up against a great Carignane-centric Priorat. Gorgeous nose has deep, pure, red berry fruit, wet river stones, and a zesty dusting of spice. Just beautiful balance in the mouth. Rich fruit with no jammy excess, subtle barrel scents, subtle stony notes. Great acids. And for Carignane, with is not known for its length, it has a surprisingly lengthy, juicy finish. Very impressive. — a month ago
Affordable steak night wine. BlackBerry forward. Great option to serve guests preferring cab sauv over Malbecs — 3 days ago

At 14 years- just might be this WINES sweet spot. Took a little while to decant -but was amply rewarded. Tanins and Fruits still doing their jobs. It was a treat to drink. — a month ago
