Fruit-driven Cab from 20-25 years old vines in Isla de Maipo, just south of Santiago. Fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, and aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Quite jammy nose with aromas of dark fruit (blackberry, cassis, blackberry gummies), red fruit (strawberry, strawberry jam) and hints of bell pepper and tobacco. Medium-bodied, ripe fruit flavors. Aromas so lively. Sits well on the pallet with layers ever present . Interesting flavor, terrior of this valley. Smooth as silk tannins float down the pallet and makes the mouth water. Flavor concentration and structure are outstanding. Rich and vibrant wine for 6 years. And I love that they donate to the local music program with this wine. — 10 years ago
