Terrific nose of wet earth and dark cherries. Very expressive. Lovely nose. Got this it a good moment. Palate is elegant and complex with terrific fruit clarity. Great concentration and persistence. Shows the low yield character of 16. So fresh and huge acidity. Needs air. But wow Girard is so consistent. After air loads of mulberry and woodland berry. — 3 months ago
Nose is brambly, bright and dark cherries. Lovely moss tones. Very pretty and in the Girard style but also has some 15 showing. Palate is elegant and ripe with great balance. A bit of that odd, high acid, weird tannin thing 15 reds can have. Needs air but a nice effort in a very hard vintage for red and white. Whites are aging away from 15 and reds are aging into it more. How odd. — a month ago

The perfect wine to wind down a long week. Bright fruit flavors of raspberry, strawberry, rhubarb, and a bit of cherry cola also. Fun and casual. 100% Counoise. 4/7/23. — 5 months ago
Dark brambly nose of red cherries, dark forest berries, underbrush on a ripe frame. Deep and aromatic and lovely tinge of herbals. Palate is super juicy and fresh with nice mid to late season red and black cherries and terrific acidity which gives the palate great lift. Finishes stoney and mineral. Chewy finish. Tannins are silky and smooth. Structure catches up with air and the fruit extends on the finish. With air the finesse picks up and all the parts integrate more and roundness ensues. — 2 months ago

Nose is lemon, some discreet wood. vanilla extract, lanolin and an intense stony minerality. Sweet lime as well and just stunning aromatic depth and vividness. 9.4 nose. Great cut and almost zero wood on palate and what is there is lovely and complementary to the awesome acidity and freshness. Really long. Such a mineral bomb. Long. Wow this really drinks well for $32? A great wine. — 4 days ago
