What a great wine. A brilliant version of this. Lemon oil, huge minerals, some green tea. So delicate and playful. Citrus. Citrus jelly. Really clear and mineral. Huge acid and drive on the palate. Amazing texture. Lime and rock flavors mixed with some killer herbals and bitters. Awesome structure and density but so lithe. Mosel like nimbleness and purity. Just a terrific terrific bottle. Really the biggest revelation of these recent 19 Riesling Tastings. This has just crazy and acidity and freshness. What a finish. Lime sweet tart such mineral drive on this. — 6 days ago
Wow. Gorgeous elegant fruit on the nose. I swear it smells like fruity spatlese for a second there. Orange, cream, minerals, and so delicate and elegant. Really haunting aromas. Gorgeous complexity. Wow. Really just divine aromas. Earth, cream, citrus and minerals. Really just a stunning nose but super refined and subtle. 9.5 nose. Palate is elegant and refined and man is this delicate and elegant. Yes, elegant. Acid is a bit less than 2019 but this is so lacey and delicate. What it lacks in that 19 energy it makes up for with its haunted delicacy and laciness. Mouthwatering and long. Compact. Ethereal. Good depth and concentration. Really mineral as it airs out. — 6 hours ago
A rich nose. So intense. Ripe but clean and loads of yellow fruits. Lovely minerality under all that richness. So pure. Gorgeous restraint for the richness. Like a small bite in a Michelin ***. Wow that palate though has that crazy 19 acids in all of Sven’s 19’s. So nice. Sappy, dense and lithe all at the same time. Amazing purity. Such lift. Best vintage for this ever. Just a sick wine. Electric. Nose gets more green tea now with air. Just outrageous complexity. Ridiculous depth. Now the nose is coming into better balance. Layered, floral and complex. This is a stunning wine. Wet stones on the nose. What electricity on the palate. Young and so promising but man what a thrill now. This has structure to burn. Better in 5 years. — 6 days ago
Wow. Yowza did Martin rock 19. Nose is insanely complex with citrus up the wazoo. Herbs as well. So so mineral but wow the herbs. Fresh herbs and dried herbs. Smoke as well. So linear and just so much aromatic nuance. It’s one smell after another on top of another and so on. Outrageous aromatic complexity. Wow that palate is dynamite. Just stunning and so so pure. Amazing delicacy. What refinement. Martin really made the most refined wines he ever made in 19. Almost like a 16! Wow, what stature. Structured and powerful with awesome depth and freshness. Really insane energy and purity. This is fresh like nothing else. Maybe freshest wines Martin has ever made. Epic, endless and super delicate finish of citrus and peach flesh. What a wine. Can be drunk now but in a decade. Watch out! Just insane concentration and purity. Such a special wine. — 6 hours ago
What a nose! Huge peach and melon. Gorgeous clarity and citrus notes. Citrus pith and flesh. Really airy and expansive. Such a great nose on this wine. One of the best all time values. Amazing penetrating minerality. So nuanced and detailed. Palate is just wonderful. Expressive, expansive and has wonderful sap and purity. Amazingly delicate and so much length on the finish. Pure as the sky is blue. This finish is much longer than it should be. Just brilliant. Terrific texture and an icing on the cake like effect. Impeccable balance and freshness. Ready to go because who can resist this wine? Awesome tangy and fleshy citrus with insane freshness on the really long finish. What a wine. Likely will be 9.3 with air. — 6 hours ago
Oops, forgot I had this in April. Drank alongside a '14 Roulot Bourg Blanc, and paired with a pasta with morel and scallion (light) cream sauce, with some seared scallops on top. This was far and away the better pairing, but it was fun to contrast the two '14s. With the cream sauce, the perceived acidity was perfect for my palate, so an excellent showing, really showcasing the minerality and citrus. Yeah it's Tuesday, but many pandemic-related restrictions were eased today here in cali. What that actually means remains to be seen... — 6 days ago
@Delectable Wine this is the Auslese. Thanks!
Wow what a stunner. Big time saffron and herbs on the nose. Guava and pineapple. Gorgeous. So sleek and clean. Amazing balance between fruit and herbs on the nose. What a masterpiece on the palate. Insane freshness and also flamboyance. Wow. So linear and fresh with unreal purity and acid like a laser. So so sleek. This is decadent, yet linear and balanced. Palate is fully tropical but so fresh and engaging. A light and energetic Auslese. Just a stunner. Now the nose has a cayenne thing happening with such restrained tropicality. Just awesome. — 6 hours ago
Nose: drop dead gorgeous. Just that fusion perfume thing. Fruit. Mineral. Some age. Wow. As it opens this indescribable prettiness. Gods lemon oil.
Palate is great. Juicy. Almost a spicy mineral. Perfect apricot fruit. Very subtly apricotty. Amazingly delicious. A bit crunchy. Vibrant. Wow. As it opens gods sweet lemon.

I love this wine. One of the most unique and distinctive Rieslings ever. Massively floral and mineral complexity on the nose. Just outrageous. Melon, citrus, spice, tangelo and so lifted. So pure. Nuanced. Superbly elegant and linear with delicious melon/citrus fruit and great inner mouth florals and an awesome fruit skin quality on the finish. So ethereal and pure. Lots of vim and vigor but also a lovely richness to the texture but never betraying its freshness and vivacity. Superb concentration and structure. Amazing depth here. Truly a brilliant wine. I’m sure this will open up and reveal more but really great on the P and P. Great, delicate and long finish. — 9 days ago
