Venezia Giulia IGT 1988, 10%. Bottle tasted in November 2014.
There is oxidation in the wine, so the color is a very dark copper green. The nose detects candied fruits, dates, Marsala.
In the mouth is quite extraordinary (it was my first taste of such wine), rich and persistent, with acidity, and an aftertaste of toasted peanuts. — 6 years ago
Ones of my all time faves. I've probably bought 7 cases of this over the past 2 years. — 4 years ago
