I know that this isn't a fancy super expensive wine, but if you are patient to cellar it it will open a door of perception, an insight on the Hunter Valley semillon, it could indeed be a textbook as an aged sample and descriptor of the category.
Lime jelly, macadamia, lanolin, lemongrass, mineral and the more you swirl the more it gives you all in perfect balance. An outstanding performer that very rarely disappoints.

Licorice, blackberry, strawberry jam, caramel candy... This is very rich. The palate is wonderful with a very strong acid drive, a great width with a nice thickness on the sides which can be broken down in matter and a radiant black fruit. Some tannins that stick up on the sides in the rear and a slight drying effect and a very long finish with again a typical licorice touch, blackberries and a nice tangyness which makes you crave for another glass. Wow this is great and it puts a lot of fancy Châteauneuf du pape to shame! — 12 days ago

2018 vintage. This fairytale Château is owned by insurance company Groupama who brought in renowned consultant Stéphane Derononcourt in 2014. Not sure about the exact blend of this vintage, probably mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and a bit of Cabernet Franc. This wine starts to shine already after 10 minutes in the glass. The perfume is very fresh (especially considering the warm vintage) and flowery. In the mouth it is very elegant, with juicy cassis, soft tannin and very good length. If you are looking for a blockbuster this is not your wine, if you fancy Margaux-like finesse it's well worth your 16 euros. Very moderate alcohol for the vintage (13 % abv.). — a month ago

This wine is fancy. Herbal, floral, rose. A lot of flavor to take in. Complex! Going to have to sit with it for while. — 6 days ago
Nice light Pinot with some interesting flavors! Would order again, nothing super fancy here. — a month ago
