Meyer lemon, prickly pear, slightly herbal, citric acidity. — 7 days ago
A brilliant vintage for this wine. A top 5 Crozes. Easy. Spice, game, some funk, blueberry, black berry, black cherry, huge granite and even some wilted flowers. Young but tasty palate of dazzling granite and velvety tannins and engaging energy from the minerality. Terrific power, depth and concentration. Needs 5 years. So long and such beautifully defined fruit on the incredibly long finish. Really rich and dark. Awesome. Wait 5 years. As this opens the balance becomes superb. Almost a 9.4. I’ll be back. — 3 months ago
Yum. On the nose: black pepper, raspberry coulis, spft leather, gamey olive. On the palate: excellent acidity, still, olive brine, pickled onion, beef jerky, dried black raspberry. This is exactly what old syrah is supposed to be about. Still lovely. — 2 months ago
Very smooth Chardonnay from Burgundy. Not the oaky style Chardonnay from Cali, this French white is delicate with mineral accents. — 5 months ago
Deep magenta hues.
A wave of tobacco soaked cinnamon scent on the nose.
Forward kick of black pepper spice, culminating in a dark cherry mid palate, and ending with a welcome coupling of plum and star anise.
Its good. It’s fruity. It’s spicy. It’s dry. It’s not focused. — 8 months ago
