Christian Moreau in 2020 has as an excellent stable led by Les Clos, with the Valmur close behind, and the Vaudésir picking up good points for favorite nose this morning. Today the Cuvée Guy Moreau was a delicious step up from the regular Vaillon. The 2017 Vaillon was ready and delicious. The 2018 Valmur stood out for its sheer intensity. Rating is for Les Clos. — 2 months ago
Thomson grape late on the palate; stinky nose on the front end. — 5 days ago
Un autre classique pour moi que j’adore, équilibre, classe, élégance et pureté comme toujours, acidité plus en retrait sur cette bouteille toutefois mais très légèrement, se boit toujours comme un charme. 90-91
Balance, class, elegance and pure fruit and flavours, gorgeous but with the acidity just a slight touch backwards, still gorgeous and drinks like a charm. — 2 months ago
Way over my expectation. This bottle was vibrant and bright despite the vintage. I think it’s great time to drink this wine now, distinguished by a very deep, complex and sexy nose. On the palate ita plus was the stunning sapid minerality and load of tangy stone fruit and jasmine. All rounded by an initially harmonious oak integration which then became a little stodgy. For this reason I felt it falling backward over the last sips. — 3 months ago
