Les Cloux Rully 1er Cru Chardonnay 2005

Again, what a terrific white Burg. Cork was caked with junk on top but thankfully was in good shape otherwise and the wine was great. Perfect for Leila’s garlic shrimp. — 17 days ago

"La Perche" Rully Chardonnay 2010

First taste of a 2010. Color medium golden and hints of oxidation on nose and palate but dissipated with time and drinking nicely over three dinners of different dishes. The similar profile of complexity of fruits and earth as its siblings. — 3 months ago

Rully Montpalais 1er Cru Chardonnay 2006

Had CVed for comp with Ampeaux. When first opened it smelled like it’s in the edge of oxidation but then it settled down and showed as most of the other Belleville Rully. Complexity, balance, transport to vineyards and vines. Yum. So good with Leila’s garlic buttered shrimp. — 2 years ago

Les Boudrières Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay 2005

Beautiful white Burg that still has lots of legs on it. Complex stone fruits on nice and lean acidic complex palate and texture with a long biting finish. Yum. Sure seems better than Notes from — 3 months ago

Golden color and whiffs of oxidation but still holding up very nicely in its balance and complexity and perfect for dinner of mixed sushi. Better drink up the rest though. — 8 months ago

I’ve had nearly 70 Beaujolais in my Delectable half life, & never tried Metras!@Aaron Tan . thanks for tip. Bouland & Piret are other favorites, but it’s a crowded field, so many good makers. A fouilliard nouveau might have been one of the most joyous, fun wines I’ve ever had!

@Peter Sultan Agree on that last statement. I do have a special place in my heart foe Foillard, but you gotta try Metras. Jules' stuff is excellent too. And try getting your hands on my favourite hot shot producer atm - Pierre Cotton! Haven't had Piret. Will track down a bottle or two to try 😁
