Lovely rose! Balanced, hefty, subtle fruit, not overtly sweet. Great with food. — 5 years ago

Domaine Barville

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grenache Blend 2019

2019 vintage. Medium-heavy body. A bit smoother than the 2018 vintage. Not quite as grippy. Still, not too shabby for the price. Plenty of punch and fruit to be found amongst the weightiness. 1.10.24. — 3 months ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2017

Went well with charcuterie - goat milk camembert, triple cream black cardamom guernsey, local St Pete honey, copa, chorizo, salami. — 7 months ago

Optimum Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2010

Quite alcoholic and high toned on the nose with bright plum and Black pepper. On the palate silky, with intense red fruit, sweetness and a hint of burn. Still young and quite hot, but could settle into something interesting. — 6 years ago

Very interesting profile in the “Featured” section. I had no idea you were from across the pond. As to this wine, it will soon be nigh impossible to find a CDP that is not too high in alcohol, thanks to our ruining an entire fucking PLANET!

Sadly too true Tom. Worth getting wines you love now as there’s a danger many could change beyond recognition.

Secret Barville Chateauneuf-du-Pape Syrah Blend 2012

This is actually the "Secret" limited release, not the Domaine. Took awhile to open but did very well. Aged in barrels 18 months, whereas Domaine is 12 and Optimum was 24. — 7 years ago
