This was opened and we enjoyed a few glasses before recorking and reapproaching 24 hours later, at which point it was really singing. Yellow peach, pear and medley of orchard fruit, layered with pressed yellow flowers, dried persimmon, and notes of vanilla and bourbon. So delicate. Such fine bubbles. Saltwater taffy and some caramel and rock salt on the palate. Subtle tannic echo. Mesmerizing. — 20 days ago
Youthful at 23 years with strawberry nose and lemony taste . Magic! — 2 months ago
Pale lemon color.
Aromas of lemon, mineral, nuts.
Dry. Flavors of lemon, peanut, pastry. Nutty notes are odd, but not unpleasant.

Extraordinary, incredible, superlative, just WOW! Simply one of the best champagnes I have had. Yes full and rich and at the same time so lean and tart. This one was an amazing experience. Thank you Jeff for sharing this beauty. — 6 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over several hours. The wine pours a deep garnet color with a translucent core and a brownish rim. Medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. No signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with powerful notes of desiccated and stewed cherries, leather, cocoa, teriyaki, anise, sandalwood and old damp basement. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with monumental tannin and relatively modest acid. I’m placing it at medium-. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. I don’t have a lot of experience with Gaglioppo but I can see the appeal, particularly if one wants a burly wine with relatively modest acid. Drink now. — 2 days ago
