Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Popped and poured. Deep ruby color with moderate staining of the tears. Developing, with a fairly becoming nose with ripe black plums, dark bramble fruit, vanilla, some pipe tobacco, some chocolate and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium(+?) acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. It’s really primary now but it should drink better after 2025 and through 2034. — 7 months ago

Winfield Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Powerful and overwhelming Cabernet Sauvignon that can only be consumed with steak. Perhaps another five years will improve this bottle. Smooth and elegant, this is a well-made wine. The tannins are perfect in the finish. — 6 months ago

Londer Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013

Ming L

2013 is the last vintage of this single vineyard bottling.
Lovely bouquet of raspberry, cherry cola, steep red tea, licorice, mushroom, and light baking spice. Medium body and acidity. A bit leaner than I expected on the palate. Good texture. Resolved tannins.

Ferrington Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013

Ming L

The nose is quite similar to the Londer Vineyard (Anderson Valley as well) bottling of the same 2013 vintage, with bouquet of blueberry, raspberry, steep red tea, vanilla, mushroom, and warm spices. Layered and supple, the palate is more savory on the palate than the nose suggests. Ripe candied tannins.
At its peak but should have staying power for another 2-3 years.

Nobles Vineyards Pinot Noir 2021

Popped and poured. This is a darker noted and yet, unmistakably Pinot Noir. The fruit is ripe and glossy and yet it retains its acid and freshness. While I’m not crazy about the style, the site is showing its quality and I love that. Certain to be a crowd pleaser. This could probably benefit from some time on its side. Good now, better after 2025 and through 2031. — 7 months ago
