Red Cherry and shuttle blueberry. Nice finish — a year ago
Very balanced with some red fruit and mineralality. Very smooth and much like a Burgundian. — 2 years ago
Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965. Today, their son Hugh, continues their mission. Coming off their highly successful recent vintages, the 2016 is also 100% Chardonnay straw with aromas of floral stone fruits and citrus notes. A terrific crisp sparkler with crisp apple, peach and lemon flavors, fine mousse with tiny bubbles. Tangy acidity on a lingering finish ending with a yeasty creamy character. Nice! — 3 years ago
2013 is the last vintage of this single vineyard bottling.
Lovely bouquet of raspberry, cherry cola, steep red tea, licorice, mushroom, and light baking spice. Medium body and acidity. A bit leaner than I expected on the palate. Good texture. Resolved tannins. — 3 months ago
The Killers release a new album a couple weeks ago, and named one of the tracks after this wine: My God.
Blueberries. Cherry. Cigars... and not the cheap ones: Cubans.
Every sip lingers nearly 10 minutes... it’s huge. I can only imagine what this will taste like in another 10 years.

Bouquet of plums and berries. Smooth. — a year ago
Fascinating old Syrah from the Languedoc (label says 100% Syrah, 13.0 ABV), purchased on release, meaty, smoky, clean, balanced, this has held up amazingly well, medium-long finish, a Jeffrey Davies import from his early days of bringing in Languedoc wines (a most excellent portfolio back in the 1990s)!! — 2 years ago

This is huge. Dark fruit that slowly and smoothly builds - tempered by leather, fig, coffee, and spice. Modest tannins and almost no acid as the finish lingers on. — 2 months ago
