Languistino — 8 months ago
Pinkish Italian wine, very well developed. Reminds me of a rombauer or earthquake zin. Solid. Only drink if you want something deep, rich, and complex. Pairs very well with green grapes and crackers, but not a dry aged steak or seafood. Not a heavy drinking wine.

Very easy drinking nice representation of the grape — 3 months ago
The origins of the Damilano family dates back to over a century ago, when Guiseppe Borgogno, the great-grandfather of the current owners, started to grow and make wine from his own grapes. Medium Ruby with aromas of fresh berry fruits and generous spice. On the palate this medium body wine shows flavors of juicy cherry and blackberry with notes of citrus and vanilla spice. Light tannin structure, lively acidity, medium ending with fruit finish. Nice value. Drink now, consistent, no aging benefit. — 4 months ago
Good color, nose, and flavor. A little thin with braised short ribs. Very pleasant young server, Rafael, from Canary Islands. — 3 months ago
My third wine from Damilano. Very good. With red (raspberry mostly) and dark fruit (blackberry). Also: vanilla, licorice (maybe) and leather. — 7 months ago
Orange bitters, acetone, and crushed flowers on the nose. Slightly headier in the alcohol scent, esp after a day, than the ABV suggests. Sidenote: the color and light garnet shine is almost identical to the Damilano Nebbiolo we had 2 days ago. Candied orange, cherry stem, touch of oak and bark on the palate. Lots of body and decent finesse, and more nuanced than a lot of peer Pinots. Terrific at $24 club pricing. — 5 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Fruit sourced from five vineyards, Brunate, Liste, Cerequio, Cannubi and Raviole. Medium Ruby red color with aromas of red fruit, earthy spices, floral and cedar. On the palate flavors of sour cherry and raspberry with notes of floral, smoky tobacco, vanilla and oak. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins, ending with an earthy character. Needs a few years in the bottle! — 2 days ago
