A lot of fruit. Lacking structure — 9 days ago
2015 vintage. With 74% Merlot (and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6% Cabernet Franc), this is a world of difference compared to the 2022 ( 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot) tasted alongside. We switch from red fruit in the fully mature 2015, to the more black fruit personality of the 2022. While the 2015 is an attractive wine in a lighter style, it is no match for the more powerful and profound 2022,reflecting the impressive progress made here year after year since the Lorenzetti family took over. — 14 days ago
2025最初ワイン。高雄の漢来飯店レストランにて。樽感タバコのスモーキーな感じが強く果実味もある。家族ランチのいい思い出 — 21 days ago
Probably one of the best wines out there right now. Just mind blowing. — 2 months ago
Super smooth. Light and refreshing. Will try a sangria with this. — 2 months ago

Popped and poured. The 2019 pours a deep garnet with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart red and black fruits, green pepper, tobacco, dried herbs, chocolate, purple flowers, cedar box, and baking spice. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ viscosity. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. While Cardinale may not be the “sexiest” label in Napa, it’s got nearly 40 years of history as a consistently exceptional example of Napa, Mountain fruit, Cabernet Sauvignon. If I had this vintage in my cellar, I would decant for an hour+ before service but it shows well on the pop and pour. Drink now with air and through 2049. — 21 days ago
