Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Everything one could ever want from CCR! Rich, deep. Very long. Complex. Cherry, damp earth. Nice bite just in front of the finish. Layers. Glad I have 2 more left. — 15 days ago

Castello della Sala Cervaro della Sala Umbria Chardonnay Grechetto 2017

Consistent fantastic. Balanced with a zing. A different kind of chard thanks to the grechetto. Great accompaniment to the fresh fish dinner. Bright and nice acidity. — 7 days ago

Castello dei Rampolla

Lui Toscana Merlot 2018

A very good Merlot out of Tuscany, plenty of fruit but with a good structure. I wonder where this will go with more bottle age — 21 days ago

Riserva 50th Harvest Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2008

Subdued nose. Underbrush, brown spice, balsamic hints, fresh acidity. Rusty iron notes are starting to emerge, so drink sooner rather than later. — 25 days ago

Really Jeroen? Usually Monsanto can age decades...

I know, Peter. But I had this particular wine several times in the last 5 years and, IMHO, this is evolving a tad faster than anticipated.

Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2014

Beautiful CCR. Needs an hour of two of air to open up. Nice concentration, snappy red fruits, mostly cherry. Grippy and tart finish. 1st of 4. — a month ago

Castello di Amorosa

Cresta d'Oro Vineyard Rosto 2019

Pretty color of light peach with a touch of pink.

Strong nose of light strawberries, wild flowers, rose pedals, peaches, raspberries, limes, citrus, green apples, minerals, white pepper and light grapefruits.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with green apples, lemons, limes, grapefruits, river rocks, light raspberries and light earth.

Crisp finish with limes and almonds.

This is a very tasty Rosé from Russian River Valley. Nice and refreshing. Elegant and fruity, with a really pretty nose.

Easy drinking with a nice mouthfeel. Nicely balanced with nice complexity. Fresh and lively.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and crackers.

100% Pinot Noir grapes from a Single Vineyard, were aged in egg shaped concrete vessels.

13.6% alcohol by volume.

90 points.
