Exactly what you expect from a quality producer in Piedmont. Heavily perfume on the nose. Sour cherry, leather, tobacco, vanilla, wood. The palate shows grippy tannins without being overly drying, so it’s perfect with a meal, but also fine by itself. This wine is in a very good place. Not sure if I've been here before.... This has potential, but needs time... At least.

Flint, ash, rose, white pepper, and only a hint of strawberry on the nose.

More red fruit on the palate, including strawberry and red cherry. Sour red cherry. Tannins are very nice at medium plus. Alcohol at medium plus. Acidity is medium. This can certainly be expected to improve with ageing, but I'm concerned that the fruit is not still dominant at only two years in.
