Absolutely stunning, with aromas leaping from the glass. You can smell it just being nearby. It’s ultra intense aromatics of smoked meats, campfire smoke, black licorice and both black and red fruit couldn’t be more assertive. Hard to put this one down.
It’s flavors expand on the palate showing superb richness and a searing intensity, and they detonate like little tiny grenades. There is a supreme elegance to this wine that provides impeccable balance and a sensuality to complement its rich and robust flavors. Finishes exceptionally long with soft caressing tannins. A well stored bottle has much life left indeed. Fantastic showing, especially for what can be considered an unheralded vintage for the Northern Rhône. No problem for the La La’s 💥 — 10 days ago
Already very balanced although still young. Association of Power and Finesse The fruit is still marked with well-melted light notes of oak. Deep concentrated notes of smoked ham, primary peppery and violette notes. Classic style. Beautiful gourmandise that will gain in wisdom with several years of cellar. 😋
— 25 days ago
Still looking for balance
Explosion of freshness and flavour
Long and elegant
I reckon it needs time, but honestly this one is a guess.
I find the evolution of the wines from Northern Rhone still hard to read sometimes especially when they are at this stage.
I would love to taste this wine in 10 years and see where it goes — 18 days ago
I love this feminine expression of Syrah, this one is still youthful but already approachable , with berry fruit, lavender, gun flint and iodine on the palate, a crunchy, mineral finish on a firm-but-not-rigid frame. Beautiful wine with a decade of evolution in front of it. Not sure it has the extract to go the long term, but who cares when it tastes this good now… — 23 days ago
