Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo 1997

Gave it 3 hours in a decanter before sampling. Dark tawny with some amber. Almost opaque. Fragrant nose. Notes of ripe red cherries and ripe black fruit, iced tea, rose petals and some subtle dark earth. Robust in the mouth. Nice structure with softened tannins. Very perfumed, with a sweetness. Better than I was expecting. — 20 days ago

Barbera d'Alba 2018

Garnet in color with a nose of dark fruit & earth. Medium body, very smooth with even tannins and slight acidity at the end. On the drier side with black plum, earth and some oak. Really nice wine! — 2 months ago

Asili Riserva Barbaresco Nebbiolo 1996

A bit smoky. Great color. More red than orange with very light aroma. I liked the complexity and the earthiness. Fleshy red fruits are there but not pronounced. Always reliable and aged nicely. Wise old wine. — 25 days ago

Marsannay Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

Not the grocery cheap rosé. To the contrary, this was an amazing surprise. Plenty of fruit and texture to the enjoyment of both the patio-pool pro, and the foodies — a month ago

Vieilles Vignes La Combe d'Orveaux Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010

Interesting nose and mouthfeel though very young still. Typical Chambolle spice, cranberries, hint of Asian tea aromas, underbrush. Promising mid palate concentration and lift leads to a finish that is still a bit too tight and tannic. Needs to evolve but very good potential. — a month ago
