Fabulous. Smooth. Sangiovese in Indianapolis. Jonathan 60th — 9 months ago
I’ve always liked the wines from Ragnaie but have not had this Rosso from Petroso before. Beautiful slightly translucent but still deep color in the glass. Some nice red fruit on the nose and palate. Good earth balanced with excellent acid on the finish. Nice wine. — 2 years ago
Disjointed upon opening. Lots of reduction that needed to blow off. Drinking much better after about hour being open. I don’t love this one as much as the ‘19 I had a couple times last year. — 2 minutes ago

One of my absolute favorite Brunello producers. Old vine. Drinking pretty well for just being a baby. Tart red cherry, wild strawberry, wet leather, garrigue and a healthy dose of tannins. Will be incredible with 5 years of aging. — 2 years ago
Another Brunello producer I have not tried before - quite nice. Quite restrained - apparently the Brunello comes from higher altitudes which shows. It’s not quite Ragnaie in terms of the high altitude character but it’s a nice wine for sure. Perfect with some local Cinta pork. — 2 years ago

The nose starts off with gentle and persistent dried herbs, leather, incense, and light barnyard. After about an hour decant, beautiful bright yet ripe fruits emerge. The palate is luscious and seamless with fresh acidic spin. Silky tannins lead to a lingering finish.
Drinking beautifully now. No need to wait. — 9 days ago
