Awaits in the wine fridge. Haven’t drank it yet, just documenting and passing time. Per the wine merchant in Cortona, Italy, reputed to be one of the finest winemakers for Brunello.…picked up in Cortona in 2019, waiting out the Brunello countdown…rating is a guess. — 5 days ago
Whoa baby. We like it. — a month ago
Lemon, lime, grapefruit with a mealy note. More full bodied and lush than I was expecting. Good to see it’s not a sulphidic, thin and restrained style which we see all too often these days. Pretty good - I enjoyed this from one of the up and coming young winemakers in the Yarra. — 10 days ago
v16. Very good. Nice please belt leather and apricot nose. Fresh apricot with a hint of Meyer lemon fruit. Bright, pleasantly cloying finish. — a month ago
It’s not often that I get excited by California Sauvignon Blanc, but this one is full of character & worth going out of your way for. From one of the oldest sauv blanc vineyards in the state (dry-farmed, organic) on Sonoma Mountain. Heavy on the orchard fruit: green apple, pear, with some Meyer lemon and a touch of green papaya and lemongrass. Neutral oak elevage softens the rough edges. Great food pairing wine - though would expect no less from chefs-turned-winemakers. I really like what these guys are doing at MDC.
@Delectable Wine not the Reserve skin contact version but the standard SB (but the orange version is also excellent) — 2 months ago
2019 vintage is the (female) winemakers favorite of all time Accor to importer. — 8 days ago
1967; 3H Decant.
Nose has dried roses, tar, dried orange peel, dried Bing cherries, wet leather, moist leaves and shaved dark chocolate.
Palate has dehydrated tart cherry, dried orange zest, moist garden soil, sweet cherry notes, medium tannins and light acidity remains.
Evolving and expanding with each sip, complex flavors continue to reveal, not slowing down at all.
A truly exceptional bottle of wine. Made by Beppe Coppa, one of the greatest Lange winemakers. A powerful vintage according to my trusted source on old Italian wine. — 14 hours ago
Not Scott’s best Zin, but very nice. — 2 months ago

Went to the wine ghetto in Santa Barbara. Most wineries there are ‘junk’ but the municipal winery winemakers make some great wines - and super fun stuff like this 6.5% ‘wine’. Funk in the trunk. Essentially the best Kombucha I ever had. The Riesling gave it a floral touch. And what about the seawater and Kelp. See next picture which describes the way this was made. — 24 days ago
