Tried ‘14 & ‘15 together. The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. Caparzo is owned by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini, she also owns Altesino. Deep Ruby with berry fruit aromas with cedar, herbs and smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate cherry, plum & cranberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine approachable tannins, long ending with spicy oak finish. ‘15 a bit better! — 4 years ago
2019 Vintage with notes of cherry, plum and blackberry.Medium tannins which we like for a red wine. Delicious with beef stew and the price is reasonable. — 2 years ago

Delicious medium bodied Rosso. Roundness makes the difference. Great QPR! — 6 years ago
2018: starting to drink well despite youth. Good measure of earthy edge keeps the fruit and tannins in balance. $40 sale at VR — 7 months ago

2015. 9.1+. Just too young. Same problem as with Altesino: takes forever to open up, very salty and tart, then thins out and fades. Very good producer. Going to stop opening the better 2015 Brunellos and will revisit. $50 on Delectable. — 4 years ago

Definitely a full bodied style but in 2018 quite accessible at this stage even with only an hour decant. Lots of fruit, integrated earth and tannins, medium acid threading it all together. Nice pairing with kurobota pork chops. — a month ago
