Such a delicious wine! Prior notes apply, this bottle still has years, if not a decade, in front. Wowie, wow! More chocolate and leather than our last bottle, abundant dark fruits, minor acidity, no tannins. Again, lots of sediment. Decanted 3H.
Paired to Allen Brothers Mangalitsa Pork, Secreto cut. The ultimate pork, very buttery and tasty, nothing compares. Grilled to perfection in a mere 5M. — a month ago
Tasted twice! Sourced from a plot of old vine Malbec in Medrano. warmest area of estate. Deep Ruby with pronounced aromas of black fruits, leather and earthy spice, aged in new French oak. On the palate flavors of raspberry, plum and blackberry with citrus, leather and pepper spice. Tannins are rustic and chewy, well balanced long finish ending with toasty oak, tobacco and mineral character. Nice, just beginning to develop, cellar time still warranted. — a month ago
Natural bubbly from Xarel-lo grapes, from the Barcelona area. High acidity balanced by bold aromatic and citrusy elements. More complex than other sparkling wines in the same style. Great for the Summertime. — 21 days ago
Deep Ruby (more red compared to it's older brother reviewed tonight). Barnyard funk on the nose. Soil and greenery. Obvious wood still present. Alcohol feels hotter, medium plus acidity, medium plus bodied. Firm tannins. This too will get better over time, but probably not much given the absence of fruit (as opposed to still present red berries in the Especial Vinyes Velles). Very Good.

Tasted twice! Sourced from a vineyard at 1,100 metres in Paraje Altamira, deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, herb, leather and spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberries with citrus, leather and spice, a powerhouse of dusty rustic tannins, needing time, well balanced long finish ending with an earthy mineral and tobacco spice character. Nice! — a month ago
Tried twice. A 6 region blend, deep Ruby with aromas of dark red fruits, spice and dried herbal and floral notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry and blackberry with licorice and pepper oak. Fine grainy tannins, lively acidity, medium(+) finish ending with fruit, subtle oak and savory spice. Nice! Great value! — a month ago
Deep rich purple in color. Mustiness on open that blew off over 20 minutes. Earth, grilled meat, with a layer of stewed strawberry vanilla on top, the remaining wood component will continue to convert to tertiary flavors with additional age. Dry with medium acidity, medium plus alcohol, medium plus tannins, with a lengthy finish with a lingering chalky white pepper. This wine is excellent and will improve.
This was my 2nd bottle and review of this wine. The notes are fairly consistent but the mustiness was not present in the first. Interesting.
