Pepper and blackberry nose plus a bit of garrigue. Rather typical and to the point. The palate is very balanced with strong acid and a nice matter rolling along the palate with a bit of a gamey, meaty touch in the end with a saline note. I like the thickness and the layers of the palate : bright blackberry, some tannins before the end, some meat juice too. The finish lingers a bit with the meaty and salty notes fading quicker and leaving the stage to a bright blackberry. You cannot dislike this! — a day ago
Nose with chocolate, earth, black currant, a bit of meat juice too. Interesting nose, not really typical. The palate is well balanced between a very string acid backbone and some fruit and matter on the sides. Firm tannins kick things up before a rather light and long lasting finish with a bitter, salty twist. This is OK but it lacks a bit of matter and distinction. — 9 days ago
Chocolate, cherry, spices and somehow iron. The palate is well balanced with loads of acidity and a bright fruit on the sides. Some dusty tannins which lay some powder like sensation in mid palate. Reasonably long finish with fruits and this powdery sensation too. Good not great. I was expecting more concentration. — 15 days ago
Very mineral nose : wet stone and limestone, oyster shell. The palate is rather mineral too: strong avid backbone, some lemon, some chalky texture and a good grip. The finish is rather long. With nice flowery notes. Good chablis village — 3 days ago
A bit of heat, cherry, some spices on the nose. The palate is well balanced witha tangy cherry all along the acid backbone, some nice matter on the sides, a grippy texture, some tannins and a finish with cherry and some astringency. A baby ripasso without the raisins and the silk. — 10 days ago
A bit of green pepper at first but then cherry comes and takes the stage. Other than that the nose is rather mineral with gun powder and limestone. It feels like pinot noir meets carbernet franc on a chablis soil. The palate is very dry with a strong acid backbone, a good grip on the side, a discreet fruit here and there and very Sandy, dusty tannins that kick off a rather long finish with a freshness somehow and some bitterness. Either it is way too young or it is a food wine that need some fat meat in sauce to get on the next level. It's not bad, it's rather intriguing and I'd like to come to it again.
Edit: weirdly enough a bright fruit is popping up after a while. The wine is cooler and the bottle has been open for a couple of hours now. Note for self : give it time — 16 days ago
Fruity nose with mineral touches like graphite or pencil lead. Some strawberry and a bit of warmth too. The palate is rather well balanced with some sheer acid backbone there, a sweet spot in mid palate with a sugary impression. Some strawberry too and a finish with fruits and a bit of warmth. Like a pinot noir from burgundy with lots of warmth and some spice on the palate. Interesting — 2 days ago
Almond, cherry, a bit of heat on the nose. The palate the palate is a tad unbalanced towards to acidity but it's getting better with air. Almond, cherry along the very strong acid backbone. Strong tannins, astringent finish. I believe it's but young. Not so much to enjoy yet. Closed down and very little pleasure. Bummer! — 9 days ago
Mineral nose with chalk at first. Some hay too and discreet lemon notes along with withe flowers. I would have had issues placing it on the map blind. The palate is rather round and easy going. Some acid in there, some lemon but a round matter that litteraly reminds of a globe in mid palate. Some grip and a bit of silk in there. Rather short finish with white flowers and a lasting hay thing. I like this as an aperitive wine, by itself. — 10 days ago
