1980 vintage, drank in 2024. It pours very smoothly, old mauve colour getting close to orange/brown. Darker colour in the centre, common for thicker skinned grapes like Shiraz. Strong smoky smells on first smell, dark fruit smells on second smell. Similar flavours coming through on the palette, smoky and fruit. Opens up in the mouth over time. Opening up longer it’s been decanted. — 4 months ago
